River City Bank’s Charice Huntley joined client and 2016 Honoree, Carol Burger, at the Sacramento Business Journal‘s 2016 Women Who Mean Business Awards. Carol, who started her company Burger Rehabilitation Systems Inc. in 1978, has quietly grown her business from a one-person shop to a statewide presence with more than 400 employees. For all the women who were honored, hard work, determination, and vision paid off. But even more impressive is the resilience they have all shown, overcoming a myriad of obstacles in their path.
With over 450 people in attendance, the affair was held on June 17 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. This year, 17 women were recognized for their outstanding professional accomplishments as well as their impressive contributions to the community. Past honorees also shared how winning the award meant to them. Honorees were chosen based on their professional achievements, leadership, entrepreneurial skills and community service.
