These past few days have been busy ones for River City Bank.
On May 13, River City Bank attended and was a proud sponsor of the Sacramento Economic Forum, presented by local wealth advisory firm Genovese Burford & Brothers and The Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council. The event featured a keynote address by Sacramento native and President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Dr. John C. Williams as well as a panel discussion that included Chief Investment Officer of CalPERS, Ted Eliopoulos, John Wiley, SVP and Portfolio Manager from Franklin Templeton Investments, and Larry Allbaugh, CEO of Buzz Oates, a prominent regional commercial real estate developer. Kelly Brothers of Genovese Burford & Brothers moderated the event. The discussion focused on the economic challenges, opportunities, and trends impacting and influencing the Sacramento region.
A few days later, SVP and Business Development Officer, Dan Franklin, and Relationship Manager and Vice President, Ryan Pyne participated in the 9th Annual Golf & Guitars Music Festival and Children’s Charity Concert, a celebrity pro-am golf tournament and concert featuring nationally recognized and major label country music artists. The event raised money for key children’s charities within the Sacramento region. Each golfer in the tournament played a round of golf with one of the celebrities and then was seated next to the stage where these artists put on a memorable concert. The hottest acts in country music, along with up-and-coming artists and some of Nashville’s very best songwriters donated their time and talent to help raise funds for children’s charities. A large portion of the proceeds will go to the Morton Golf Foundation with the balance being paid out via a tournament purse to the artist’s children’s charity of choice.
