Alchemist CDC Workforce Academy Earns 2026 AHEAD Grant
Alchemist Community Development Corporation (Alchemist CDC) received a $200,000 grant from FHLBank San Francisco as part of its AHEAD program. The Access to Housing and Economic Assistance for Development grant recognizes the Alchemist Workforce Academy, which helps individuals build skills, gain experience, and connect with employment opportunities.
River City Bank partnered with Alchemist CDC on the AHEAD grant application, securing funding to expand the Workforce Academy’s services. Based in Sacramento, Alchemist CDC is a leader in workforce and economic development, helping residents access opportunity while strengthening the regional economy. The Workforce Academy prepares participants for in-demand careers and supports long-term employment. The grant will enable Alchemist CDC to serve more individuals and expand the program’s reach across the Sacramento region.
The award is part of FHLBank San Francisco’s record $10 million investment in 72 community development projects across California, Arizona, and Nevada in 2026, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding economic opportunity, particularly in low- to moderate-income communities.
