River City Bank is the largest locally-owned bank in the Sacramento region with over 40 years of experience and more than $2.2 billion in assets. The Banking Academy at River City Bank offers a unique opportunity to learn about the various careers available in commercial banking, while acquiring real world finance skills. We keep each Banking Academy class small, so you will have intimate access to our top analysts and members of the executive team, including our CEO, CFO, and COO.
You will develop your general business acumen through broad, yet in depth, exposure to numerous divisions of banking, with an emphasis on understanding banking operations and commercial lending. You will learn from industry experts about the current challenges and opportunities in the banking industry, and discover how a bank can manage risk while maintaining profitability.
This 9-10 week learning program meets for two hours one day per week, and will provide you with practical experience emphasizing real world cases. You will be provided a general overview of commercial banking with a focus on credit analysis, risk management, and banking operations. Top performers may be considered for full-time paid internships and future employment.
We set a high bar. We’re looking for leaders who have demonstrated academic success, and are passionate about joining our team. Equally, we require people who are driven to succeed, bring a fresh perspective, and work collaboratively in a team. Specifically, candidates must have:
