Notice of Updated Deposit Account Agreement

Thank you for banking with River City Bank and entrusting us with your financial needs. On August 1, 2022 we will be making some important changes to our Deposit Account Agreement.

Below is a summary of the key changes that are being made to the Agreement as of this date:

  • The Dispute Resolution section has been updated to include additional dispute resolution options and requirements. These changes add rights for either party to compel arbitration in the event we cannot resolve a dispute ourselves. The revised Agreement also describes circumstances under which other dispute resolution processes apply, including judicial reference under California law, and your right to opt out of mandatory arbitration. The Agreement has also been updated to include a jury trial waiver and class action waiver.
  • The Governing Law and Rules section has been updated to further clarify that all deposits are considered to be accepted and held in, and all accounts opened and maintained in, the State of California, regardless of where you are located or how you elect to do business with us. The revised Agreement also generally provides that, except as described in the revised Dispute Resolution section, jurisdiction and venue for any litigation relating to the Agreement will be in federal and state courts located in the State of California.
